How often do we anguish over the age-old monologue “I have nothing to wear?” “What is appropriate for this interview; that business meeting; my luncheon?” “I’m bored.” “I need a pick-me-up.” “I feel out-dated.”
If you resemble this remark… heed the advice in the photo above from my Fashion Stylist, Connie. For the cute crackle-finish clutch, go to shopnbc.com. Click on the picture, or visit polyvore.com for everything else.

This is a great look! Is it right for corporate?
I could use some help. I’ve been working out of my basement for 10 years with not too much corporate interaction. Suddenly I’m going to be thrust into that environment more often. I’m not really sure what the “look” should be. Suits? Separates? Skirts? Pants? Any advice for 2 or 3 good starter pieces would be much appreciated.
You are so funny! I love this.
Okay, so to answer your questions….. Yes, this Chic and Sophisticated ‘look’ would be perfect for the corporate world. It would also look great at a swanky restaurant over a romantic dinner! As for what’s appropriate in an office setting? Suits, skirts, sweaters and pants all work. And, in certain office settings even dressy, dark indigo jeans are acceptable (check your office protocol). As for shoes, flats and kitten heels are as popular these days and pumps. I wouldn’t do tennies or flip flops, but otherwise I think it’s okay to be comfortable. Thanks for writing! Keep those questions comin’.
