Hats!

Postby Teen Kristen » Tue Dec 15, 2009 9:09 pm

Hats may seem like a strange beginning, but when you're a little gun-shy of testing out trends, hats are a great place to start! They can make a statement if you're feeling rather bold, or quietly amp up your outfit in a tasteful manner. Incorporating accessories is often a great way to spruce up a tried and true, but still a bit plain, outfit in your closet. SO, I am here to tell you, don't be afraid to take a chance! If you've always wanted to have polished and put together outfits, why not start from the top? Hats can be fun and bright, or classy and polished. Don't forget about all the different styles: cowboy (and girl) hats, newsboy caps, berets (if you're feeling international), and the traditional basecall caps (which can cover up a bad hair day in a cute bedazzled way!). With winter weather upon us, staying warm can mean covering up in a snug knit cap, merging practicality and style.

Kristen ~ I wore my newsboy cap the other day thanks to your encouragement. Felt very cute, actually. Had my skinny jeans tucked into my boots with a cute sweater.
My baseball cap is still my go-to hat on a bad hair day! But, I'm getting into the Castro cap these days, too. (Is that what the teens call it?)

Kristen, I told my grandaughter what you had written about wearing hats...Now that she is up in Idaho (college) she says with the cold weather they have been having, you have to wear a hat...I told her to make sure it's a cute one...

I'm so glad to hear that what I wrote is being read and appreciated! Good to know that all is well in the fashion world with hat-wearing. I must say that until I talked to you about it Judy, I had never heard of a hat being called a Castro hat. Despite its origins I wouldn't normally associate foreign political leaders with current fashion trends, but maybe I'm alone on that! :P

Kristen I have a question for you I hope you can answer it. I posted a comment on here about hats. I'm curious to know did you delete my comment or is it hidden because I don't see it on here and other people who visit can't see it either. Please answer this for me. I enjoy reading all the fashion information that you post. Please keep sharing all this great information.
